Elaine Crane

Hailed by critics as "brilliant, a charming actress, a beautiful voice and a very fine comic actor", soprano Elaine Crane has had an active and varied career encompassing theatre, opera, oratorio and staged concert. Favorite stage roles include Marion (The Music Man), Lily (The Secret Garden), Guenevere (Camelot), Countess (The Marriage of Figaro) and Micaëla (Carmen), as well as many of the Gilbert and Sullivan heroines such as Princess Ida, Josephine, Mabel and Yum-Yum. Elaine is a cum laude graduate of the Boston Conservatory, where she studied opera and vocal performance, and is the founder and executive director of Greater Worcester Opera.
